Flink cookies

1. XSRF-TOKEN

This is a random value generated by the website to prevent CSRF attacks.

No data collected as such. This is a security token. The cookie contains a random value generated by the server which has nothing to do with the user's account or profile data.

The browser sends this cookie with each request to the server. The server looks at the cookie and rejects any requests that have the wrong value in the cookie (i.e. could be a forged 3rd party malicious request).

No data is kept, as such. The website will keep regenerating a new random value and storing it in the cookie each time the user visits a new page on the site.

Expires after 2 hours, but is replaced by a new value with each server request.

2. flink_session

This is a standard PHP session identifier.

No data collected as such. The cookie contains a random value generated by the server which has nothing to do with the user's account or profile data.

The browser sends this cookie with each request to the server. The server uses the value contained in the cookie to identify the correct session in the application's memory, so that it can continue to serve the correct content to the user as they proceed along their journey on the site.

No data is kept. The server stops keeping track of (deletes) session IDs when an ID has been inactive for 2 hours. As a result, a user who's ID has expired will find that they have automatically been logged out of their account.

Expires after 2 hours, but is replaced by a new value with each server request.

3rd party cookies

We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies which are stored on users' computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information.

  • Google's privacy policy is available here
  • Google’s cookie usage documentation is available here

_ga

Type of data collected:

  • Determine which domain to measure
  • Distinguish unique users
  • Throttle the request rate
  • Remember the number and time of previous visits
  • Remember traffic source information
  • Determine the start and end of a session
  • Remember the value of visitor-level custom variables

Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users. Expires after two years.

_gid

Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users. Expires after 1 day.

_gat_gtag_UA_131491193_1

Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users. Expires after 1 day.

Hopefully that has clarified things for you and as was previously mentioned if there is something that you aren't sure whether you need or not it's usually safer to leave cookies enabled in case it does interact with one of the features you use on our site. This Cookies Policy was created with the help of the Generator of GDPR Cookies Policy and the GDPR Privacy Policy.
